Sam Houston (1793-1863) had an extraordinary career, which would be reading about (link below). what cauth my attention was the accuracy with which this quote depicts how the demonic realm creates systems of bondage… even for children of YHWH.
It is one “chain” or lie at a time. As these lies are linked together, they form a long chain restraining an individual, while increasing the level of deception and bondage. Don’t yield! This is a war, a war for your soul… your mind, will and emotions. give the enemy NO place, at any time. Be free, stay free.
Before Proceeding
As a believer, prior to using the prayer below or a construct of your own, it is absolutely necessary that you are fully submitted to the Jesus, and aligned with Him. You are about to take a stand in the realm of the spirit, and any open doors to the enemy need to be removed.
Before moving forward, please return to the Prayer Tools page (link below) and make sure you are “current” with all the tier one, two prayers, and that you have Closed Open Doors to the Enemy (tier three). The adversary is a legalist, and will look for any open doors to prevent you freedom, or quickly regain entry into your life. Use the tools provided to shut all of these doors. This will enable you to position yourself to remove generational curses, and take a stand against assignments involving witchcraft you may be encountering.
Key Areas to Cover as you Pray:
- If you have any areas of unforgiveness or offense in your life, repent and let these things go. If you are not sure, ask Holy Spirit to show you if you need to forgive anyone, or release situations involving pain or trauma.
- Break agreements with EACH lie, verbally replacing each lie with the truth, and coming into agreement with what God says about you, and/or the situation.
- Partake of the Covenant Meal, firmly standing in your blood covenant (death, burial and resurrection) before moving forward. This is a prophetic act, recognizing who you are, and what you have as a son or daughter of the Most High (see Covenant Meal resource as needed).
Sample Prayer… Beginning with Repentance
YHVH, I confess that I have not been submitted to you. I confess that I have believed the lies of the enemy saying, “_______________________.” and unknowingly.
I repent for believing _________________. It is a lie. Instead, I choose to embrace and believe __________________. (Do this with each lie, replacing it with the truth).
Lord Jesus, thank You for clinging to the post and allowing Your flesh to be ripped open with the Roman flagrum on my behalf. It is not by coincidence that this is the edomology for the word fillet… this is a picture of the torture you endured. You were humiliated, assaulted, spit upon, verbally abused, and considered worthless by humanity… for me. During these hours you took on my physical, mental, and emotional pain, paying a horrific price for my healing. “Thank you” does not begin to express the worship and reverence You deserve.
You were pierced for my transgressions. You were crushed for my iniquities. The punishment that brought my peace was on You; and by Your wounds I am healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Lord Jesus, You then went to Calvary, taking on my sin… becoming sin, that I could be made righteous. As the spotless Lamb, You became the final sacrifice, and Your blood even now cleanses me from all sin. I receive the washing of Your blood once again, I embrace Your righteousness, given to me, and healing for my mind, body and emotions. I fully surrender and submit myself to Your Lordship. Thank You for all You are, and all You have provided for me.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7-9).
Prayer to Break Agreements with Lies and Deception:
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth who came in the flesh, I break agreements with the adversary and the afore mentioned lies and deception. I renounce these lies over my destiny, life, mind, will, emotions and body.
Lord Jesus, please cleanse me with Your blood from the effects of these lies, and my willful submission to the demonic realm. I repent, I choose to align myself with Truth, fully submitting to You.
In the name of Jesus, I dismantle, remove, destroy, and render powerless any demons, the lies, and all their devices that have had access to me because I believed these lies. I take authority over every demonic spirit, infiltration and attachment in my life due to these lies, and command you to go to the dry places now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth who came in the flesh.
I stand in and covered with the blood of Jesus. I desire to know You, Jesus, and to walk in Truth. Your sheep know Your voice. I choose to walk according to Your Word, and listen for Your voice alone, standing in agreement with Your Word(s) concerning me. Where the devil said, “__________”, I now say, “I _______________”, because that is what YOU say about me and Your Word is absolute truth.
I send the fire of God to structures, platforms and strongholds in my life that are resident due to these lies and destroy them now! I break the power of these lies over every aspect of my life now in the name of Jesus! Every demonic device disintegrates now! in the name of Jesus!
I release the light and bondage breaking power of Your truth, over my life. Who the Son sets free is free indeed, and the truth that I know and walk in will create a domino effect of more truth leading to increasing freedom. I choose Truth today! I choose Life today! I choose to continually give my “Yes” to Him.
As you go forward:
- Continue to recognize any lies, replacing them with truth… His word to you.
- Speak and declare the truth, releasing life over and around you.
- Thanksgiving, praise, worship
- Feed on God’s Word… DAILY
- Pray in the Spirit/tongues/heavenly language as much as possible… not just now, but forever.
